Chianti Cafe, nestled in Beverly, MA, is an Italian restaurant that transcends typical dining experiences. Patrons rave about more than just the delectable cuisine; it's the exceptional atmosphere, complete with live jazz, that elevates it to the best date spot on the North Shore, as emphasized by loyal customers like Timothy Harro. The ambiance pairs beautifully with exquisite dishes, from tender skewered lamb to remarkable pears wrapped in prosciutto. Visitors marvel at the sophistication of the menu, which includes desserts like tiramisu that Elizabeth Lachat describes as "out of this world." Gentian Bako highlights the restaurant's distinction, insisting that the term "cafe" does not do justice to the culinary artistry on display. The attentive staff, particularly noted by Amber Lynne, reflects the passion behind the restaurant's lasting success. Chianti Cafe is not just a place to eat; it’s a haven for those seeking comfort in Italian flavors and a cozy setting. This restaurant has established itself as a community favorite, and for good reason. Whether you're planning a romantic evening or simply hoping to indulge in incredible food, Chianti Cafe promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.

I took my wife here on our first date, the night I proposed, our first anniversary, the due date of our first kid... if they don't reopen we will be devastated. Between the food and the service and the ambience with the live jazz, this is the best date night restaurant on the North Shore.

Great spot for a drink, meal and some jazz. Must save room for dessert....the tiramisu was out of this world!

The food here is far better than I expected: subtle, complex and sophisticated. We stopped by for dinner before a concert at the Cabot and expected okay Italian food. Instead, there were amazing pears in prosciutto, brilliant bread and tender skewered lamb. Next time, I’ll visit when I have more time and can get dessert!

Beautiful and cozy place, you can really tell the staff and owners care about what they do and provide for their customers. The waitress we had, Monique, was super friendly and incredibly helpful and knew exactly how to help us find what we wanted on the beautiful menu they had. The chef deserves just as much praise, the food is exquisite, only a seasoned artist can make plates this delicious. And I must say, congrats to the owners for having a restaurant for so many years in this town, if only we had tried this place sooner when we moved here 2 years ago.

Chianti was suggested by locals that we met outside the Cabot Lodge upon our arrival. Great restaurant. The menu has everything to please from Italy. I had just two appetizers which was plenty of food to eat on an evening that I was not hungry. The waitress was outstanding and friendly. Great place to eat in Beverly.

On Cabot Street in Beverly this little jazz club has some of the best bands around. Sure the layout is strange but it just adds to the coziness. The music volumne isn't deafening and the bartenders are providing great service. Parking is on Cabot Street or nearby municipal lots and the walk to Chianti is interesting with window shopping and people watching. There's even a HD TV on the wall away from the stage with live feed to the band! No misses out no matter where you sit. The restrooms are well stocked and clean.

Full yummy menu open late. This is especially great in the summer when you don't want to leave the beach. Great music, no cover, no minimum. Great crowd. Not as fussy as some places where your afraid to clink your silverware. Listen in the front, talk in the back.
